12th TOPIK IBT Registration Guide - March 2026 Exam (Korea)
Registration details for the 12th TOPIK IBT exam in Korea, including test centers, fees, schedule, and refund policy.
The official registration schedule for the 12th TOPIK IBT (Internet Based Test) in Korea has been released. This computer-based exam will take place on March 21, 2026 (Saturday) at 41 test centers nationwide.
TOPIK IBT carries the same validity and uses the same grading system as the traditional paper-based test (PBT). The difference is in the format: you take the exam on a desktop computer provided at the test center.
Registration through the TOPIK website is available only for candidates taking the exam within Korea. You can submit your application only during the designated hours (10:00–16:00) each day of the registration period.
The 12th TOPIK IBT will be held at 41 universities across Korea. You can register for one test center only with a single TOPIK ID, though you may take both TOPIK I and TOPIK II at the same location.
Changwon National Univ., Koje College, Gimhae College

If a test center receives 15 or fewer total applicants (TOPIK I and II combined), that center may be cancelled and all fees fully refunded. On the fifth day of registration, a separate announcement will list any centers at risk of cancellation.
Virtual account (bank transfer): Same day as registration, by 11:59 PM
Payment from overseas bank accounts or with cards issued outside Korea is not accepted. If you're registering from abroad to take the test in Korea, arrange a Korean payment method in advance.
The website will be temporarily down for maintenance on January 19 from 8:30 to 10:00 AM. Plan your refund requests around this window. Refunds are processed within one business day.
If you need to change your registered information (name, date of birth, photo) after the registration period closes, submit a correction request between January 19, 18:00 and March 16, 18:00.
To request a correction:
Log in to topik.go.kr → Application Status → Request Information Correction
Email the correction request form and a copy of your ID (passport or ARC) to itopik@korea.kr
Changes made through "Edit Member Information" after registration closes will not update your application. Use the formal correction request process instead.
The scope of allowed corrections is limited, and requests are processed after the March 16 deadline in order of submission.
If you have a disability under Korea's Disability Welfare Act or a physical condition that makes standard exam-taking difficult, you can apply for testing accommodations.
Submit your request within 5 business days after the registration deadline. Include the accommodation request form and supporting documentation, either by mail or in person to:
Digital TOPIK Team, Korean Language Testing Center
National Institute for International Education
191 Jeongja-illo, Bundang-gu, Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi-do
The center will review your documentation and notify you of available accommodations.
